A video intercom is a communication system that enables people to see and talk to each other through video and audio from different locations, usually within a building or a complex. It combines video and audio capabilities to provide a more secure way to manage entry points, often used in residential and commercial buildings for security purposes.
How it works?
Visitor Interaction: A visitor at the door or gate presses the intercom button to initiate a call.
Video Feed: A camera captures the visitor’s video, which is displayed on a monitor at the receiving end (typically inside a home or office).
Two-Way Communication: The resident or occupant can speak with the visitor through the intercom system.
Access Control: In some setups, the person inside can unlock the door remotely if the system is integrated with a door or gate release mechanism.
